Open House September 28, 2023

We hope you can join us for our Open House on Thursday September 28 from 5:30-7:00pm. There is still lots of time to join us and still get to the Fire Hall Open House that runs until 8:00pm! 

Schedule 

5:30-5:45pm 

  • CARP Training in gym for parents. Staff will be outside on the playground to supervise children. 
  • PAC will have a table with more information about PAC activities this year. 

5:45-7:00pm  

  • Classroom visits: Teachers will have their classrooms open for family visits. 
  • Meet the Teacher October 17-19 sign-up: Paper copies of sign-up sheets will be available outside the office. Online sign-up will also be available starting October 2 for families who aren't able to join us at the Open House. 
  • Indigenous Learning – please visit portable #2 to meet Indra Stefanek, our Indigenous Education Support Worker, and learn more about Indigenous Learning at LPES. 
  • Garden Club – the garden will be open for families to visit. 

Child Abuse Reporting Protocol Training 

Are you interested in volunteering with your child’s class? Each year, all staff and volunteers who work with children are required to complete Child Abuse Protection Protocol training. Your next opportunity is at 5:30pm in the gym. 

Garden Club Soup 

Soup made by students and staff with vegetables from the garden will be available. Please bring a cup and spoon to sample the harvest from the garden.  

Start-Up Forms 

Audrey will be available at the office during the open house to support families in completing any outstanding start-up forms.

Each year, as part of a continuous improvement cycle, Rocky Mountain School District develops an operational plan that outlines the goals and strategies that will be the focus of the work for the upcoming year. This plan is guided by the current 4-year strategic plan using a variety of student data as the foundation for decision making, schools develop school success plans that identifies targets for improving student learning.
