Happy Halloween!

Halloween is an exciting time for many, and costumes are optional for your child tomorrow. If they do dress up, please remember that there are no masks, weapons or accessories as part of the festivities at LPES. Whether or not your child dresses up, there will be a range of activities as a school and in most classes. On Monday there will be the following activities:

  • Classes may participate in a costume parade in the field in the morning.
  • Classes may also tour the decorations in the portables.
  • Students may participate in the PAC popcorn fundraiser at 10:00am. If you want your child to participate, send a toonie with your child. If you are unable to pay the $2, PAC wants to make sure all children have access to popcorn, so please contact the office before 9:30am and PAC will still give your child popcorn.

We Need Your Help! Lots of sugar and a lack of sleep can make this week hard for children. To support your child in having successful days this week, please limit lunchbox candy to one per day and work with your child to choose something that is easy and quick to enjoy, rather than a sucker or something large. Also, please remember that candy should be nut-free and should not be shared with other students. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

Be Prepared for Colder Weather

Colder weather is upon us, so please send your child dressed in clothing appropriate for cool, wet weather. It is also a good idea to label your outdoor items:

  • snowsuit or water proof jacket and pants,
  • boots,
  • rain hat or toque, and
  • water-resistant mitts,

In addition to these items, an extra dry pair of socks in your child's backpack can make wet days much more comfortable too. Finally, if you are not able to provide outdoor clothing for your child, please let the office know and we will do our best to support your child.

Photo Retakes

This is a friendly reminder that photo retakes are on Tuesday November 1st.
