Sept. 23, 2022 Update

Open House

Our LPES Open House is coming up next week and we look forward to welcoming all of our families!

  • Date: Wednesday September 28
  • Time: 6:00pm and 7:00pm
  • Details: Pop in any time during the hour to meet your child’s teacher. Your child can show you around their classroom, and give you a quick tour of the learning commons. Please enter by your child’s classroom entrance and leave by the front main doors.

We will offer another opportunity for parents to complete their Child Abuse Reporting Protocol training at 5:30pm on Wednesday in the library.

Electronic Permission Forms

Thank you for your flexibility and patience as we try some different ways to distribute permission forms. SD6 is working on a fully electronic forms system that will be available within the next year. Until then, we will send home fillable PDF forms. If it is easy for you to complete these without printing, please do so and email them to the office. If this is inconvenient, kindly let us know and we will send home paper copies in your child's planner.

Truth and Reconciliation Day Next Friday

Truth and Reconciliation Day is coming up next Friday. This is a friendly reminder that there are no classes on this day. Our students will be involved in activities next Thursday to learn more about Truth and Reconciliation, and our staff are involved in a variety of professional learning activities this year to support this important work.

School Supplies

If you have not yet paid for school supplies you may do so next week. Please contact the office if there is any way we can support.

Dress Warmly and Stay Healthy

As we move into the fall season, please encourage your child to dress warmly for the cool mornings. This will make outdoor learning more enjoyable, and help avoid illness. This is also a friendly reminder that all adults, parents, caregivers and students should not come to school if they are sick. If you are well, you can come to school.
